There is just something special about a sunset session at Emerson fields for Hillary and me. Almost like the sun could hang in the sky forever. And with a lovely couple underneath that sun holding each other close, we wish it really would. There is also something special about high school sweethearts who are happily planning their wedding together!
Skyler & Grace first met in their small town middle school, started dating in high school and have been together ever since. Grace works at Boone Hospital in Columbia as a X-Ray tech, and Skyler just finished up his A&P certificate! In case anyone was wondering, A&P stands for Airframe and Power-plant. It’s the school that aircraft mechanics must complete in order to be certified to work on aircraft. So, considering my love for all things aviation, Skyler and I had a lot to talk about.
Skyler & Grace were so much fun to work with and to hang out with! The temperature in the sun was close to triple digits, but these two still managed to keep the most natural smiles. Thankfully, Amelia also had the venue open and the AC on high so we could come in from the heat occasionally to cool off and freshen up. These were some of my favorite moments as we got to really talk to Skyler and Grace as a couple and hear their stories. Stories about how Grace is almost done with her wedding planning, what vendors they are hoping to use, and how Skyler is such a foodie with a weakness for Italian food and smooth black coffee. Oh and of course more aviation talk!! But finally, as the sun dropped lower and lower and the air began to cool, we captured some beautiful golden hour shots and finished off an incredible session with an amazing couple!
Skyler & Grace, thank you so much for spending the evening with us and giving us a glimpse of who you two are as individuals and a couple! We loved hanging out with you both and we can’t wait for your 2022 wedding at Emerson Fields! For now though, enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂
