The Greenery at Liuzza Farms in Amite City, Louisiana has to be one of the most beautiful venues Hillary and I have ever photographed. It made for a perfect wedding destination for Scott and Gabrielle’s perfect day! Those of you who follow the blog regularly may remember Scott and Gabrielle’s love story. It is quite the memorable one! If you would like to read the story in detail, you can find it here. Otherwise, here is a quick refresher. Scott and Gabrielle met at while working at a Barnes and Noble. Scott would find any reason he could to spend time with Gabrielle. She soon noticed his affection and an “accidental” first date led to many more intentional dates, culminating in a unique marriage proposal at Busch Stadium and now, finally, their wedding!
You may be wondering, “If they both live in St. Louis MO, why did they get married in the small town of Amite City, Louisiana?” It’s simple really. Gabrielle grew up in Louisiana and much of her family still resides there. Not only that, but The Greenery located on Liuzza Farms really is the perfect location for a wedding. This gorgeous venue is designed not to just look, but also function as a greenhouse conservatory with lots of natural lighting, and even sun panels in the roof. The indoor landscaping is lush, green broadleaf that accents the brick walls perfectly. Scott and Gabrielle had an outside ceremony, and despite a tropical storm coming through the night before and lasting into the morning, the storm rolled away leaving beautiful blue skies! As Gabrielle walked down the brick inlayed isle with white pews lining the sides, Scott could not contain his joy. They exchanged their own, personal vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. The rest of the night was filled with laughter, fine food, and dancing!! So much dancing and even more laughter! Each of their families was so kind and inviting which made for such a fun day for Hillary and me.
Scott and Gabrielle, thank you so much for letting us tag along on your special day and capture all the moments that made it special to you! We absolutely loved being part of it all, and we love the friendship we have with you two! And now, please enjoy your preview of your wedding!
