In a tiny school house overlooking the Boone Monument Village, with only their closest of friends and family there to witness, Nate and Emily exchanged their personal vows and were announced as husband and wife. Everything about the day had a meaningful touch. The school house was originally constructed in Erie, PA (Emily’s hometown), the cross they joined hands under was hand built by Emily’s sister, the knife they cut the cake with was hand forged by Nate’s now brother-in-law. These are only a few of the many special things from their day, I wish I could type them all but a five-page blog may be excessive. 😉
Emily knew that she wanted a beautiful floral arrangement with lots of greenery and full of wildflowers. What she didn’t know was how Sister’s Floral Design Studio would take that and make the largest and most beautiful bouquet and completely exceed Emily’s expectations! The little school house and the reception barn were amazingly decorated, and despite the intense heat of the July sun, the greenery stayed beautiful for the entirety of the day. And let me tell you, it was for sure a hot one. But no amount of heat could stop the party from going on after the wedding!! Nate and Emily shared their first dance together, followed by a very special dance between Emily and her father and Nate and his mother, and Nate and his grandmother. It was clear to see how important family is to these two and how so much of that helped to make this day as beautiful as it was!
The dance floor was rarely empty the entire evening but was kept lively by Emily’s sisters! Turns out they are quite the passionate dancers and this just so happens to be a normal thing they do when they’re all together! As the day came to a close, there was one last surprise. Instead of a traditional sparkler exit or send off, the couple had a full firework show that would rival most fourth of July shows!! A truly perfect way to end a beautiful day!
Nate & Emily, thank you so much for letting us be part of your special day!! You both have incredible families that love you all dearly and that was seen clearly by everyone who came! We wish you both the best in your marriage and we’re excited for the future you all have together! And now enjoy the preview of your beautiful, summer wildflower wedding! 🙂
