Can you believe we’re already into the New Year?? I don’t know about you, but I feel like this past year flew by so crazy fast!
A few days ago, Grant and I were talking about our goals for this next year. I did a poll on our Instagram and it seems the majority of you all like to make new year resolutions/goals. That’s awesome! I never used to be much into setting goals, but after being in business for a year (woohoo!!), I see so many benefits to it! We didn’t make any goals this past year, but we have made quite a few for this year!
A huge business goal we have set (which I’m kind of nervous to share, to be honest) is that by the end of the year, I am hoping to be full-time in our photography business. Crazy? Totally! But Grant and I are super excited to put this dream into full action! 2019 will be full of lots of styled shoots, workshops, tons of education, beautiful weddings and we couldn’t be more excited for it! 🙂
We also decided to set goals just in our personal life. One of those being to work out more consistently for an extended amount of time. 😉 Does anyone else have trouble with this? Grant and I often struggle with the motivation to stay consistent, but it’s something we’re definitely going to work on.
Another thing we have decided to do is to evaluate every 3 months to see how we are doing with sticking to our goals. We’re hoping that this will help us stay on target, and we hope to see progress every couple months. I think it was Jenna Kutcher (if you’re in business and don’t know who she is, you should! She’s incredible!) who first brought up setting goals for each quarter of the year so you’re more likely to accomplish them. I thought that was an awesome piece of advice! I decided we should expand on that a little more and pick a day every three months and go over all of our goals (personal and business) and evaluate where we are. I’m hoping this will help us to accomplish every goal we have set by the end of the year. 🙂
We would love to know what goals you have set and how you plan on sticking to them!! So post them in the comments. 🙂
